Crystal Diamond Jewel Paperweight 80 mm Heart Dark Rainbow-This gem piece is shaped using round brilliant cut. The design was developed by Marcel Tolkowsky, an engineer from a family of diamond cutters. Tolkowsky mathematically calculated the properties of light and how it reflects and refracts within a diamond. This is also known as the American Standard Cut and is the common cut design in North America. This method was applied and altered to create an elegant heart shaped design. This cutting method maximizes scintillation of light as it passes through each gem. This gives it a mystifying sparkle and brilliant shine. Each piece is carefully hand cut and polished to bring out the gem's potential as rays of light pass through it.
