Gun Metal, Tactical Folding Knife by Tac-Force

This model is just one of those knives I never thought existed due to its almost robotic design. Tac-Force's model TF-705GY is a part serrated liner lock knife with a gun metal, gray block style, grooved aluminum handle. Gerber's Finest: Gerber Knives from Gerber Bear Grylls

You watched the Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife video demonstration in one of my previous posts. Now you and I both will feast our eyes on Gerber's Gator Combo Axe with knife.

With a forged steel head and glass filled handle, this ax features a steadfast, Gator grip handle with an overall length of 8-3/4", a blade length of 2.7" and a stiff weight of 23.6 ounces.

Buck's turkey feather skinner knife

Gerber's Ripstop I Pocket Knife

One of my fondest memories involving pocket knives were those shared with my grandfather and his old, beat up collection of them. He had kept in a drawer a Hopalong Cassidy pocket knife with bottle opener and standard blade. This commemorative had the famed cowboy sitting upon his horse. I will never forget that knife.

Many pocket knives today keep their traditional, old-fashioned handles and the like. Then there are foldout knives that display a hint of futurism, almost science fiction based, before one's time appeal. I see that personally in Gerber's Ripstop I.

The Ripstop I has a super-lightweight frame lock concept that delivers bold strength and high functionality. The weight of the all stainless steel construction knife is made lighter by the intriguing handle and blade design. There's no bulk in the thin, streamlined handle. Dual thumb studs make opening the blade a snap. Closing it is a simple one-handed step.

Amazon.com yields fewer results for the term "Hostess" by the hour. Will Hostess be pawning their recipes to another snack cake conglomerate or is this really the demise of one of America's most coveted brands? Should a eulogy for the humble Hostess Twinkie be written?
