Marshmallow Peeps
are widely traditional for filling Easter Baskets. Peeps were first made in the 1920s but were not popularized until 1953 when the Just Born Company began manufacturing them. With improved technology, the time to make a single Peep reportedly has dropped from 27 hours in 1953 to about 6 minutes now, an incredible statistic to discuss over sharing one of these delicious treats with a friend. After all, Peeps are the only marshmallow treat I know with an incomparable sugary taste and history. Peeps commemorate most any holiday theme aside from Easter as well!
