Normally samples are free however, there are still a large number of distributors and / or suppliers who charge both for the item in question in addition to shipping fees. This is where you need to be somewhat wary. Suppliers charging for samples could charge as much as $10 for a $2-$3 product so they are still generating their share whether or not you choose them for your final order. If you intend on dealing with this type of company, purchase such an item ‘blank’ and you can avoid X amount of dollars for what ultimately will be your sample.
