An extradordinary piece, my Internet travels had landed my search for a tough hunting knife. The Jungle King by Whetstone has "survivalist" written all over it (metaphorically speaking). This genuine knife's manufacturer says the following about it's Jungle King:

I couldn't believe it myself. I found a new addition to my 14-inch knife collection. Given its size, this knife is a fixed giant.

This is one hot knife. If you like a little flavor to your blade, this black and white striped blade features a G10, lightweight handle with slick cutouts. An absolute beauty from MTech's liner lock line, this knife is half-serrated and belonged in my collection. That's why I added it to it.

I remember a flea market I used to frequent where a gentleman selling knives had a variety with dragon insignia. On their blades, handles and sheaths, I couldn't help but notice the Tac-Force knives such as the one pictured. The gentleman at the flea market I had purchased multiple brands of knives from had first inspired me to collect most any dragon signature piece.

When perusing Moderne Glass’s website I came across this 13 oz., glass coffee mug. This mug, from their Presidential Collection, had caught my eye when searching for an inquirer’s flavor of the day. They were interested in a “not so big”, glass coffee mug that also would appeal to tea drinkers. This is as unorthodox as it gets but it's no real secret. Would you like to know how to order just one, single, imprinted item with your logo when such an item could have a bear minimum of 100-pieces, sometimes even 500-pieces? Expert purchasers already know how but I'm here to tell you that most distributors won't tell you how because they are naturally in it to sell you the minimum quantity. We're all trying to earn a living so this makes sense. It's not stealing. It's just business.

Anyway, here's how you do it. Call your distributor or preferred supplier with an item in mind. It could have almost any minimum required (100-pieces and so on). Mention, "May I just order one piece with my logo?" If they say no, the minimum is 100 (for example) you then proceed with the magic question, "May I order it (1-piece) as a SPEC SAMPLE?" Ah, there you go. Remember the words "SPEC" and "SAMPLE" and you're committing highway robbery (no, not really). Just keep in mind that you can't get away with this too often with the same supplier/distributor so you may have to hop from one to the other. Am I bad? Nah, I'm just trying to help.

The fact of the matter is, you're buying. A distributor/supplier is making a sale on just the one item even if it's small potatoes. It's not the 1-order anyway the money is made on. It's if you decide to repeat those orders time and time again from the same distributor/supplier. They should be glad to arrange having your logo imprinted on 1 item because you just may return and then up your quantity.

As a middle person, one usually orders blank merchandise for their client, has it imprinted and directly shipped to their client. It's a rarity that the middle person sees anything aside from a virtual mockup of the product.

Once in awhile, a distributor or middle person will be sent a finished postcard or pen from their client (speaking from experience). Once in awhile you will receive a pre-production rendition of how an entire lot will print before the purchased quantity is set up on the machine to review. Sometimes at the middle person's expense they will have 1-piece of the finished quantity drop shipped to them as a keepsake (the customer orders 1000-pieces and the middle person will order 1001, paying for the additional piece and freight to themselves).

Promotional pens are the promotional product thirst that cannot be quenched. We froth at the mouth and water at the eyes for pens that can be personalized with our company names or logos. The issue at hand: "which pen should I use!?".

Fine writing instruments and their refills are our staple for office supply. Fountain pens, rollerball pens and stick ballpoint pens are mounded on our desktops and stocked in supply cabinets. If a supplier's no minimum policy is for a $20.00 item, is there other suppliers who try to beat that? Setup charges are always more expensive. Setup charges on average are $30-$50 per color / per location (for items such as pens, not excluding engraving methods of laser printing). Does a no minimum product need to exceed at least the setup fee? It would be interesting to know from suppliers how this would be itemized and executed as well as which pens are the most popular for each of the above purposes.

The feather handle knife not as light

I had always thought this knife were unique. I have seen the middle portion fashioned with an eagle medallion and some with an Indian head. The feather for its handle adds sublime tradition as either to denote the feather used in a native Indian's head wear arrangement or that of an eagle or other symbolic bird of flight. It folds congruently and bears symmetrical curves. A great collector's piece.
