Picture of a Rich Boker Piece: The Tirpitz Damascus
Would you fish or hunt with the Tirpitz Damascus in the palm of your hand? The Tirpitz was the largest battleship ever built for the German Navy. On November 12, 1944, the British Royal Air Force attached it with special tallboy bombs, settling it near the shore in shallow water. After the war, a Norwegian specialty company took interest in the steel of the Tirpitz and retrieved parts from the Fjord.
This knife combines history, tradition and modern technology in a more than unique way. Blade length: 3-7/8"; overall length: 9"; liner thickness: 1/16"; weight: 5.9-ounces.
Pay extra attention to the 300 layers of hand-forged, Damascus steel, 61° HRC hardness due to the combination of Tirpitz steel and carbon tool steels, the handle which is AlMgSi1 aluminum (with Silicium) and hardcoat anodized, domestic walnut handle inlay with original Tirpitz crest and reversible clip for tip-up or tip-down portability.
