Everyone needs their sweet teeth appeased. We're all well aware of candy and its effect on peoples' smiles. We're interested via this blog post in their fulfillment benefits and where such little candy packets are to be fulfilled.

We can have our logos slapped on miniature candy packs but unless they're being handed out on Halloween, just a lone little packet doesn't market much. Some believe that once the contents of the tiny little foil pack is consumed, the promotion is over. I've heard it said.

These opaque, solid or color packets aren't holding any secret behind them, just candy and a small, 1-color imprint. Here's the catch: adding more confections in addition to the candy packet and jamming them all into a coffee mug (as an example). I've seen beautifully tailored collations such as coffee mugs graced with teabags, honey sticks and biscotti, wrapped neatly in colored cellophane that matches the color of the coffee mug, tied with a complementary colored ribbon, all of the contents and mug imprinted on. How Low Cost Are Your Butterfly Style USB Drives?

Some of these style drives are fashioned with a butterfly like motion (the drive is capable of splitting down its middle for added flexibility, the USB concealed which can be folded outward as well). Some don't, revealing the USB itself in one of four corners or on the end in the middle (these are also concealed and can be fanned out).

The butterfly style / credit card size USB drive I have seen offered by few companies. Correct, we aren’t speaking about a literal “butterfly”. It’s modeled after a credit card / business card almost. The butterfly feature is only the bendable motion this particular model can perform down the middle. Please enlighten us readers with who offers such a masterfully crafted piece of technology.

Are your free samples “free” or are there strings attached?

Well, usually life encounters negotiation and license to push a sale when free samples are at stake. It’s understood. In the realm of promotional items, usually a maximum of $5-$10.00 in free samples is permitted, usually. Of course there are strings attached (Freight costs? Will your sample be blank or randomly imprinted? Is it a preproduction sample? Virtual mockup only?). Beyond a specific price range, blank or randomly imprinted, there are fees. Nothing is free. One still has to finance their overhead, overhead and more overhead squeezing in a free sample or two additionally. Thank goodness that’s settled.

Who do you get your free promotional product, random samples from and/or what are your free sample handout polices? We’d love to hear from you as to how this works.

Do you call it apparel, attire, clothing, wearables or garments?

A distributor I spoke with at a trade show admitted that more than 60% of his inquiries and sales were devoted to clothing. Ad specialty fueled by clothing. There's nothing like a freshly embroidered polo shirt for example or suede jacket. Then of course there is head wear we will discuss in another post.

Needless to stay, clothing is a necessity, custom or not. This is why it is a thirsted after promo never to be quenched. You need to dress yourself, you want a pen. You are required to use a writing implement of some kind but you don't necessarily need to leave home with one everywhere you go. Some do, a lot don't. You need to leave home dressed, always, everywhere you go. Everyone does. Imagine the exposure one's company logo would receive? Massive.

If you are looking to relay your message in the most exclusive way, choose clothing as your promotional avenue. You need not take my word for it. Particular articles of clothing and their popularity will be commented here? It would be much regarded as advice and appreciated.

It's Just a White T-Shirt or Is It?

Blank is boring. Contrary to this post's title, you can do wonders with a plain, white t-shirt, preferably a lightweight. For an outdoor, resilient event, you would need a t-shirt weighing in around 5.2 ounces. The 6 oz., 7 or 8 are a tad too thick if your t-shirts are to be customized for any type of walk, run, cycling event, fishing derby, rally, etc. You would want as much flexibility for those wearing your imprinted t-shirts as possible or they probably won't wear them ever again (too hot or snug is uncomfortable, period).

As far as silk screening is concerned, a lightweight t-shirt is normally reserved for 1 or 2-color prints, left or right chest, full front or full back, etc. You don't want to heap too much color on a lightweight. If you are interested in a 3+ color imprint, this is when you may need to consider a heavier cotton shirt. What are your plans or where do we find decent, branded t-shirts at "decent" prices?

Would you like a gold halo with your coffee?

Or tea? I won’t exclude hot chocolate from the running. Most of us would like gold with our choice of blend however, the halo I am referring to encircles the brim of some style coffee mugs. I prefer the halo over the band (thicker) for a finishing touch to a black mug. It just fits for me. Being both a distributor and fancier of promos, the gold halo coffee mug is an unequivocal eye-catcher. We think of the office and breakfast table when considering both complementing our design color schemes and supplementing our customers with a usable giveaway. The gold halo can enhance that when imprinting in gold foil against black and a fine tuned line of gold.

What are your thoughts? If you are on the receiving end, happy brewing. Drink from your newly acquainted gift the hot, warm or cold beverage of your choosing. Note: Gold halos have been spotted on glass mugs as opposed to ceramics. Also, you may also imprint in silver foil using a silver halo style mug. If you are a supplier, please let us know about this option and if this imprinting option is microwave/dishwasher safe or not.

How do you compete with Vistaprint?

As a distributor or even supplier, we observe Vistaprint's tremendous web presence. We have to admit this is due not only to their quality printing of business cards but because of their prices. As a distributor myself I receive emails daily asking, "Can you beat this?" "Can you match this?" I admit, I can't touch it.

Suppliers and distributors both have confided that custom artwork offers a perk when offering competitive value. Vistaprint has embellished a promotional line upon checkout when ordering business cards for example, exhibiting mugs, car magnets, hats, t-shirts and other itinerary that would appeal well with the same information you are checking out with printed on your business cards. Is it only a matter of time until Vistaprint offers thousands of promotional products within the reach of their customers?

Some of us also notice that Vistaprint doesn't readily make available an email address and/or phone number on their homepage. One would need to register an account to attain any of this information. This is so they may email you sales flyers. Some would much rather ascertain contact information from a printer, etc. before registering for anything. This too, I have heard in some circles, is another advantage over Vistaprint.

How Much Are Your 1GB Swivel Drives?

I found in the promotional products field that the swivel fashioned USB drive is the most popular. The swivel drive is simple, the swivel itself protective and each side of the swivel imprinted on one's choice of a seemingly endless palette of colors.

Prices usually range when more than one color is at stake, multiple colors, etc. however, I found with some manufacturers that one setup covers all colors or 4-color process. The swivel itself on the drive consists usually of a metallic/silver finish while the body/shell of the USB is plastic or rubberized. It's not uncommon you coming across a plastic bodied USB shell.

Some have inquired about the most cost effective swivel drives for imprinting purposes. These inquiries are interested in all inclusive pricing. They are interested in the most cost effective swivel drive (1GB minimum) without risking quality. They are interested in your minimum order. Please comment.

It doesn't have to be custom China. There are countless numbers of times I visited restaurants with zero, custom insignia on their vitrified porcelain dishes. As we already know, imprints stand out, especially on white. More restaurants need to imprint their logos on their dinner plates. This goes without saying. This isn't a sales pitch. It's many a folk who I am relaying the message for. They want to see your plates shine, restaurant owners, operators and managers. When it comes to butter mints, we are in for a pound

A recollect a limousine service that would purchase 2-hefty cases (1000-pieces/case) of creamy, tongue-filling butter mints to fulfill their crystal candy dishes twice a year. This fleet of limos would supplement their clients' swanky transportation with sweets, champagne, heated seats (or air conditioning), television, Internet access and so on. I imagined how more butter mints could be consumed than champagne but I never rode in their cars.

I spotted a dainty, 12 oz. coffee mug online that reminded me of a promo someone did as a client appreciation or client, "thank you" sentiment. They had their imprint produced on an almond color one which featured a greenish halo brim and base. It was an immaculate incentive.

A Gusseted Tote Bag is Better

The least expensive tote bag is the most popular trade show mate. It serves a carry-all purpose. Show goers jam their free itinerary such as physical samples, brochures and other literature in them. They are an absolute, trade show necessity.

The least expensive tote bag also needs to be durable enough to support several pounds of trade show goodies. Sometimes gussets aren't necessary however, you need the extra, wide space to fit more. A gusseted tote bag would appeal well at a trade show where physical samples such as pens, notepads and the like are accommodated. A bag without a gusset would be most suitable for carrying papers, business cards and brochures. Thick catalogs however, would be better off in a gusseted tote.

Moral of the tote bag of choice? Choose one with a gusset. If you are a purchaser for your company you may well know of a manufacturer of possibly an eco-friendly tote bag with say a 4" gusset, 22" carrying handles?
